Mag-Hytec 68RFE Transmission Filter

Will not buy this again. Does not include lip seal.Good luck finding one on short notice.

So anyone who has done some googling on the best filter to buy has run into “for a transmission filter use OEM only.” And I did, I bought an OEM MOPAR filter, but I also bought the Mag-Hytec filter to check out because it was so cheap. Comparing them to each other I observed they were both made by Filtran and looked identical to each other on the outside minus some molded writing differences on the black plastic. The filter media on the inside looks the same and feels the same to the touch. However, I don’t know if anything else is different on the inside that I can’t see, or the media filter spec is different. Both have the rolled metal edge as well to prevent blowout. The filtranllc.com website shows they are both an aftermarket and an OE manufacturer. These are most likely the same filter with a price difference only, but buy both and compare for yourself… then you’ll have a spare if the need arises.

Just the filter, no new lip seal. You need to replace the seal when doing the job. Doesn’t make sense why they don’t include the 4 dollar seal that’s needed to complete the job.

Quick delivery. I can't wait to have it installed on my first transmission flush next month.
