I am currently using TP3012 on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax. Is TP3018 a cross to the TP3012?
This is the new updated version of the TP3012 - The change involves a minor internal part geometry change, to aid in manufacturing. The performance, fit, function of the filter will not be affected. GM institutied a part number change simply because the geometry of a component was changing. (You couldn’t tell the TP3012 apart from the TP3018, without cutting them open and taking them apart.
What is the micron rating on this filter?
There are two separate filters inside the TP3018 an inner and out filter. One is 4 micron and the other is 10 micron.
