The Aero Exhaust AT4040 Aero-Turbine Performance Muffler provides your truck with a deeper, more aggressive exhaust sound. The AT4040 is the only performance muffler that will give you the performance of a full system without breaking the bank. This Muffler is designed for high-output diesel engines and features a patented airfoil technology that increases horsepower, torque, flow and also reduces temperatures.

Great upgrade. Mounted it up front, about 8" inches before the downpipe curves upward. Did this to get the max effect. The entire exhaust system is 4". Downpipe to exhaust tip. No other muffler or resonator. No need. Why drive trucks w/ these engines if you want to suppress sound? LoL. The AeroTurbine actually changes the exhaust note to a more stout sound. Not barky or obnoxious. Strong and yes it can be loud. Again, so what? To me clearly this is how the truck should sound. And as important, if not more. The science behind the product will reap some outstanding benefits. If you have a cummins 5.9, Get it. (Invoice # 216701B)

Does what it says. Truck is still pretty loud. Got rid of the drone in the cab. Happy with the results. 2003 Cummins

I installed one of these on my truck. It takes the edge off of the straight pipe raspy drone. It gives the truck a nice deep tone, but it is still pretty loud. This is not a quiet muffler.

This muffler can either be welded or clamped on.

A muffler will help reduce in-cab drone but a general rule of thumb is that the longer the muffler, the better job it does at reducing those harsh tones in the exhaust.
