The AFE 49-42016 Large Bore HD 5" DPF-Back Exhaust System is built specially 2007.5-2012 Dodge 6.7L Cummins. This system is constructed from 5" mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing and uses high quality band clamps and OE-style bayonet hangers. This unit uses all factory mounting locations to provide a quick, hassle-free installation. Large Bore-HD exhaust systems are the perfect combination of performance, fit and value.

Simple Installation:
All systems use factory mounting locations providing stability and hassle-free installation.

Leak-Free Seal:
High quality OE-style flange and band clamps are used for a complete 360 degree sealing surface.

OE Fit:
OE-style bayonet hangers are used to maintain a stable pipe location during high vibration and high heat conditions. The bayonet tip holds the hanger bushing in place for an OE-style fit that does not change with time.

Flow and Performance:
This Large Bore-HD exhaust system is constructed of 5" mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing for maximum flow. Smooth transition bends allow for low turbulence, increasing horsepower, torque and lowering EGT's.

I work at a chassis shop up in canada, my distributor don't deal afe so i figured id try it. Well they must have built the kit on a friday afternoon, 2 of the 3 connections weren't spread and had to be cut and welded, probably had to cut a foot and a half off the tail pipe or the tip would have been literally 2 feet out the side of the truck. And i skipped my number one rule of welding clamped connections, the only one they had spread ended up walking the exhaust back into the heat shield for the spare and not because it wasn't tight. Save yourself the money, quality control seems to be shit, but hey the intakes nice.

Instructions for the exhaust were pretty much no help at all, just shows you how it should look when its done. Good materials and fit well but the clamps they provide dont snug up the pipes enough you have to take the spacers out which was a pain in the ass. Sounds deeper at idle but didnt feel a differance while driving it or notice any improvements in mpg. Makes me wonder if afe has ever tried to put one of these systems on there self!
