This heavy-duty PowerStep retains the same general design as AMP's conventional retractable running boards with a few improvements geared toward oversized and heavily lifted applications. The upgrades include a rugged housing that the boards retract into, providing a more robust appearance for lifted rigs, as well as boards that drop an additional 4 inches lower than other PowerStep models, making it easier to get in and out of your ride.
Like all other PowerStep variants, the XL is manufactured entirely from durable die-cast aluminum, ensuring maximum strength and minimum weight. All aluminum components are anodized and coated with a military-grade PTFE (Teflon), preventing surface corrosion. Due to the 6" wide PowerStep XL's rugged alloy construction, these steps can withstand a whopping 600 pounds, far heavier than traditional side steps.

For added convenience, these steps feature bright LED chips integrated into the central rail, casting a vibrant glow onto the step surface and surrounding area to ensure sure-footed entry, no matter the time of day. Automatic Retracting Step
PowerStep XL Running Boards automatically deploy when the door opens and will retract after a 3 second delay when the door closes.

Lowest Deployed Step
PowerStep XL Running Boards drop 4" lower than the other PowerStep boards, making them perfect for lifted trucks or vehicles with higher ground clearance. Also, most stationary running boards rest 1-2 inches below the body and are often too far from the ground for many passengers.

Excellent Ground Clearance
The PowerStep XL Running Boards tuck into the rock rail when retracted, providing excellent ground clearance and light rocker panel protection while driving, and the functionality of a perfectly placed step when deployed.

The board width is a massive 6 inches and perfect for any type of footwear.

Integrated LED Lighting
All PowerSteps Include two pairs of LED lights to illuminate the running board and ground below to maximize safety when entering and exiting your vehicle. The lighting will activate when the steps deploy and will shut off when the steps are retracted.
