The ATS Aurora VFR 3000 Stage 1 Turbocharger With Actuator 2023022392 is a drop-in upgrade for your Dodge Ram 6.7L diesel. Don't go through the hassle of removing multiple components just to install an aftermarket turbocharger on your truck. The ATS VFR Turbocharger addresses the common failure items in your factory turbo and it works with all your existing factory systems.
The VFR features a new actuator and billet 316 stainless steel unison rings. No more warped or stuck vanes likes your factory turbocharger. This drop-in turbocharger retains all factory functions such as exhaust braking, warm-up, and factory-like spooling. The modern solid state electronics give you long term reliability. This turbocharger will support as much as 100HP over stock and up to 750HP used in a compound system. This turbocharger does not require actuator cleaning intervals and is 100% maintenance free. After searching for weeks because my old turbo kept getting worse every time I drove, my mechanic recommended that I look for a turbo online with a solid warranty. He mentioned that if he used one of his shop’s parts, he’d have to mark it up — great guy for being honest!
I did a lot of research, compared options over and over, but in the end, as a current ATS client, I decided to go with the Aurora 3000 for my daily driving and heavy towing needs. The price was great, and the warranty and product details were all clear and easy to understand.
So far, it sounds amazing! My mechanic installed it along with a bulletproof water pump, and he had everything done within a day. Delivery was another highlight — after verifying my info, the turbo arrived the very next day.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the performance, the buying experience, and the quick turnaround. Highly recommend!

Amazing bolt on Turbo

Install was straight forward and when they mean bolt on, it is straight bolt on. No tuning or anything which is why I bought it. The difference is night and day with throttle response, power, and overall performance. Started getting better mpg since it feels like the engine is breathing better. Will be compounding this turbo after installing ARP head studs. Best to have a second pair of hands with the bottom of the turbo, longest part of install was the radiator coolant return and the oil drain since the heat shield blocks it. After that it is a simple install.

ATS 3000 Turbo is a direct bolt on unit. I installed it on my 2013 ram 2500 Cummins about 3 weeks ago. Since then I have towed my 5th wheel 1800 miles and can tell a difference in power and coolant temps when outside air is above 100 degrees. I have not put it on a dyno but there is definitely a power gain. My best advise is to have help when replacing. This also seamed easier to remove from right side fender well.
