This transmission pan has a great look, too bad no one will be able to really see it. This pan overall was an easy installation dropped my trans temp by about 35-40* in the west Texas heat. I highly recommend it to anyone and would buy again!!

used this on my 48re trans rebuild along with duel 2 qt. filter setup I fabed my self along with a manual ball valve on top trans cooler bypass tube and 24 qt of fluid trans runs 165 on 110 degree days

A longer dipstick is not necessary for the aftermarket transmission pans.

Will the trans fluid read over full on the dip stick since the pan allows more to be held?

Answer
Check fluid level. If level is low, add fluid in increments of 0.25 quarts to bring level to MIN mark on dipstick. Check to see if oil level is equal on both sides of dipstick. If one side is noticeably higher than other, the dipstick has picked up some oil from the dipstick tube. Allow oil to drain down dipstick tube and re-check. Add fluid until the correct level is achieved (fluid should be up to MAX arrow mark on dipstick. (Do not overfill transmission; fluid foaming and shifting problems can result.)
