XDP offers the ATS 3039012326 Performance Valve Body With Solenoid Pack that will enhance the shifting of the 68RFE in your vehicle. The valve body acts as the nervous system of the transmission and is in charge of transferring the electrical indicators from the TCM into hydraulic actions. The 68-RFE uses a clutch-to-clutch design that is non-synchronous. This means that the transmission shifts from one gear to the next must be perfectly timed so the releasing and applying the friction clutches can accomplish a flawless shift. ATS heavily modified many areas of the valve body due to the sensitivity of the hydraulic circuits. Hydraulic oil flow is ported to the clutch packs where greater pressure is needed.

The redesigned accumulator piston seals ensure hydraulic pressure integrity. The accumulator plate is constructed from a high-grade material to counteract for the added pressure that the accumulator springs and pistons exert under high power situations. The ATS 68-RFE valve body can be installed in a factory transmission for greater transmission capacity.
