XDP has the ATS 3039012380 Performance Valve Body With Solenoid Pack that will improve the holding capacity of the 68RFE in your diesel. The valve body is the transmission's nervous system, responsible for converting electrical signals from the TCM into hydraulic movements. The 68-RFE has a non-synchronous clutch-to-clutch design. This means that transmission shifts from one gear to the next must be properly timed in order for the friction clutches to release and apply flawlessly. Due to the sensitivity of the hydraulic circuits, ATS substantially redesigned numerous portions of the valve body. The hydraulic oil flow is diverted to the clutch packs that require more pressure.

The accumulator piston seals have been modified to make sure they maintain hydraulic pressure integrity. To compensate for the increased pressure exerted by the accumulator springs and pistons in high-power circumstances, the accumulator plate is made of a high-grade material. For increased transmission capacity, the ATS 68-RFE valve body can be added in a stock transmission. When this valve body is fitted in a stock transmission, the transmission should be able to handle an extra 100+ horsepower on average.
