The ATS 3039112380 Billet Channel Plate Valve Body With Solenoid Pack that will improve the function of the 68RFE in your 2012-2018 Dodge with the 6.7L Diesel. The valve body is the transmission's brain, and it's in charge of channeling all the hydraulic pressure to the clutch packs. The factory 68-RFE valve body is only capable of sending 160 PSI of oil pressure to the transmission's cutch packs. The hydraulic clamping force created by 160 PSI is insufficient to reliably handle the power and torque produced by the 6.7L engine. As a result, the diesel engine is "de-rated" during shifts, and in extreme conditions like heavy towing, the engine output is slightly reduced.
All of these issues are addressed by the ATS 3039112380 Billet Channel Plate Valve Body With Solenoid Pack, which allows for up to 300 PSI hydraulic line pressure to be provided to all clutch packs when needed. To correctly redesign the 68-RFE valve body, numerous modifications and new billet parts must be developed. The main valve body, channel plate, separator plate, valves, accumulator pistons, and solenoids make up the 68-RFE valve body. The 68-RFE valve body has been entirely rebuilt to eliminate hydraulic cross leaks and to handle over 300 PSI line pressure without pressure loss or cross leaks.
After the ATS valve body is fully machined, assembled with all our exclusive ported billet channel plate, aluminum accumulator pistons, high tensile strength bolts, high-pressure accumulator seals, X-Member accumulator stiffener plate, thick separator plate with high pressure gaskets, Steel center-less ground oversized valves the entire valve body assembly is hydraulically tested at over 400 PSI to guaranty the integrity of the hydraulic passages. The valve body is then put through its paces on a Hydro-Test valve body tester to ensure that every port, seal, valve, solenoid, channel, piston, and gasket are completely leak-free. This eliminates hydraulic cross-leaks and seals properly, ensuring that 100% of the hydraulic pressure is transferred to the transmission's clutch packs.
