ATS 4029003068 Protector Rear Differential Cover

Finally decided to do a diff flush and figured I would get a new diff cover. The part I received looked like a factory defect /second or really bad Quality mishap. There were aluminum shavings in the threads and in the flat section of the cover. Magnets won’t attract this. Scratches in the mating surface, clamping mar marks on the powder coat where the clamps dug into the part and removed the powder coat. The ATS logo has some kind of staining/film over the machined parts. I’m going to have to spend extra time and money fixing these issues. Not worth the money. I reached out to ATS and aside from saying that never happens they didn’t do much. I would post pictures but this review doesn’t offer that option. Flat back covers are also not efficient- after watching some Gale banks videos about their testing it makes sense why factory covers have a curve to match the ring.

Easy installation. I used Gear Oil RTV on both sides of the gasket provided. I got tired of the old OEM cover with no drain plug and it was very corroded on the outside. So far I'm pleased with the ATS products.
