ATS 6019002380 Co-Pilot Tow Edition Transmission Controller Kit

The ATS 6019002380 Co-Pilot Tow Edition Transmission Controller Kit is a great upgrade for the 68RFE on your vehicle. The Co-Pilot addresses the common issues with the 68RFE’s inadequate clutch packs, vulnerable hard parts, continuously slipping torque converter lock-up and insufficient line pressure.

The Co-Pilot Controller Kit contains the controller, harness, and secondary electronics box. The harness is completely plug-and-play for easy installation and connects to the main transmission connector on the valve body. The engine load, line pressure, and other crucial transmission and engine inputs can all be seen by the driver thanks to the cab-mounted controller. Pressing the up or down arrows makes it simple to view the numerous sensor inputs. These adjustments can be performed instantly while driving or while the vehicle is stopped. There is no cutting or fitting necessary to mount the secondary electronics box to the frame on the driver's side.

The Co-Pilot regulates line pressure, clutch timing, and more aggressively engages the converter clutch if there is a lot of torque. A stock 68-RFE's line pressure is restricted to 160 PSI. Unfortunately, if you’re pushing more than 400hp, this is not nearly enough to consistently prevent clutch slippage. The Co-Pilot reads boost pressure and throttle position to quickly take control of line pressure when it is needed. Line pressure, on the other hand, is close to stock for smooth shifts when the truck is driven lightly. The controller performs all of this automatically. Line pressure can safely increase to 270 PSI with the installation of this package on a stock transmission.

 

Setting 1 - This mode shows you TPS position. No lights = 0% and 5 lights = 100%

Setting 2 - This mode shows you what the boost sensor sees. No Lights = 0 PSI boost and 5 lights = 40 PSI boost

Setting 3 - This mode shows you the actual transmission line pressure. No lights = 100 PSI line pressure and 5 lights = 260 PSI line pressure.
