The ATS 310-005-2356 68RFE/AS68RC Thermal Bypass Valve Upgrade protects the transmission from heat failure in your Dodge Ram 2500/3500/4500/5500 6.7L Diesel. The factory thermal bypass block is a notorious failure point. This billet aluminum block is a complete, high-flow replacement for the OEM unit, ensuring 100% of your transmission fluid reaches the coolers at all times.
Whether you are running the 68RFE or the Aisin AS68RC, the factory block found in the 52014523AB assembly contains an internal thermostat that frequently sticks in the closed position. When this occurs, hot fluid is routed straight back into the transmission, skipping the cooling system entirely.
