Description
The Banks Power Universal Muffler Delete Pipe lets you replace the factory muffler on your Powerstroke, Dodge Diesel, or Duramax diesel-powered truck. The straight through design helps offers an increase in performance and upgrade the sound of your vehicle. This 4" diameter pipe is constructed from T409 Stainless Steel and is available in choices of 28.5" or 36 lengths. This is a universal part design, fabrication may be required for installation.

I bought this to delete my muffler for 40$ to see if the sound was going to be tolerable on long trips in my truck. I wanted to try this before I committed 800$ to a full stainless setup. I have watched the many videos about the sound but bottom line is you will never know until you try it first hand.
The sound is great and as far as volume, you basically control they with the throttle. If you hammer down it is loud. Under normal daily driving it is no louder than my original muffled set up. I have no drone in the cab either.
I am not going to tell you there is a noticeable performance difference to me at all, there isn’t! However, I like the sound and the EGT’s do seem to be about 50-100 degrees cooler pulling my 10,000# boat now.

I was originally not going to order name brand pipe but the slits in the pipe ends made it worth it. Super easy to install.

This pipe was the perfect replacement for my Banks Monster exhaust. The Banks muffler was a pain to get out but once out this delete pipe went right in. Exhaust sounds much better with more high pitch tones coming through. Don't forget to install the 3" turbo down pipe.

Can I use this to replace the muffler on the stock exhaust? I have an 06 6.0 and want a little more sound but cant afford to pay hundreds for a new system will this work?
