Description
The BD-Power 1041460 Full Bore Exhaust Manifold from XDP replaces the factory driver's side "pinched down" unit, restoring exhaust flow and balances the V8 engine. Made from high-silicon ductile iron, the Full Bore is a direct, bolt-in replacement for the factory manifold and is even drilled and tapped to accept the most popular EGT probes. Manifold gaskets not included.

I Bought the manifold for a couple of reasons: Pyrometer hole, the full flowing design, and to balance off the exhaust flow coming off the engine, all of which it accomplished. It was a minor pain to swap it out though. The directions included in the kit are a little simplified. Removing the steering column made the job a lot easier, but wasn't mentioned in the directions. I also found that applying heat (torch) to the bolt heads, they spun right out. Just watch out for the wiring harness. As stated in the directions, I re-used the factory gaskets and have no leaks. Overall a good product, I'm not at all disappointed with the purchase. Probably 3 hours start to finish to install, not including paint.

Is this just a manifold for the drivers side?

The BD-Power 1041460 Full Bore Exhaust Manifold covers only the driver side manifold. The factory driver side exhaust manifold in the 01-10 Duramax is pinched down. This pinch restricts the exhaust flow significantly and disrupts the balance of the engine. With the addition of this manifold you’ll match the passenger side flow and balances the engines exhaust pressure. * At this time this kit does not come with a manifold gasket. Currently the highest quality gasket is the GM gasket.
will the edge egt probe fit in the port on this manifold
