I upgraded to The this Transducer and the sun Coast gm Governor solenoid. These parts make the oem solenoids look like junk. The OEM Transducer is plastic and very prone to failing. Especially with higher line pressure from shift kits and modded valve body. This and the sun coast kit fixed my trans shifting problems. intermittently shipping 2rd gear, shuttle shifting and holding 3rd gear to long going up hills slowly and bogging the truck down.It got to the point when driving up my drive way, I just manually shift the trans so it wouldn't bog down.Now it shifts like a dream Nice and firm, and doesn't hesitate to shift.I had no codes so this was the last resort before having the trans torn into. The owner of my local Transmission shop was amazed this fixed the problem. He thought the reason it was holding 3rd gear to long and bogging the truck on hills was the one-way roller clutch had failed. If it had been the roller clutch that failed, the hole trans would have to come out and be disassembled to replace it. Not hard at all to install just messy. Now that this kit saved me from having to tear into the trans, I can keep saving for a fire punk stage 3 transmission. order number 912661A

The BD-Power 1060602 Pressure Transducer Upgrade Kit includes the pressure transducer adapter, clip for metal transducer, metal pressure transducer and the governor body gasket. (The item does not include te Governor Solenoid.)

Dose this kit work with the factory harness and still allow me to watch temp on my edge CTS insight? I see the adaptor harness is only 3 wire and the factor plug is a 4 wire so my question is will it function the same as the factory pressure sensor and still allow me to monitor temp on my edge CTS insight?

Yes, the this adapter is plug and play - no soldering or splicing required! There should be no effects on your temp sensor reading on the Edge Insight.
The 1996-1999 47RE transmissions utilized a very rugged and reliable metal pressure transducer rather than the lower quality plastic transducer used in the late models. The BD pressure transducer adapter allows late model transmissions to use this early sensor. The adapter has an electronic circuit built in that converts the sensor pressure signal to the correct range and even stops fault codes in applications running higher than stock line pressures. Additionally, the circuit has its own built-in temperature sensor for improved reliability.
