The Cummins 3928499 Genuine 180 Degree Coolant Thermostat will replace the bad thermostat in your 1994-1998 Dodge with 5.9L Diesel Engine. A thermostat may become stuck over time, making it impossible to fully open or close. This may prevent the engine from reaching the ideal operating temperature or make it run too hot. In severe situations, the engine may overheat if it gets stuck shut. Your bad thermostat will be replaced by this drop-in replacement.

Order #1806112. Luckily XDP has a good description of the thermostat under the details. A local Cummins dealer gave me the wrong thermostat for my truck and couldn’t lead me in the right direction for one that would fit. Not to mention the price was triple. Ordered this thermostat almost 2 months ago from Cummins and still waiting, just got a refund and getting a spare from XDP. So when my truck needed a thermostat IT failed when we needed it the most...as usual. So we ordered 2 thermostats, one from XDP and one from Cummins for the shelf, I like spare parts on the shelf for rainy days. XDP got me my parts in TWO days and my truck was up so we could go back to work. 2 months later and 3 phone calls later were getting a refund from Cummins and might as well forget about my account with them and just ordered my parts all from XDP. Thanks for saving the day when the people that make the parts themselves failed to provide customer service. You haver a customer for life.
