The Cummins 3941156 Genuine VP44 Overflow Valve will replace the bad valve in your 1998.5-2002 Dodge with 5.9L Diesel Engine. The factory overflow valve acts as a check valve to regulate fuel pressure inside the injection pump. Over time, this valve usually gets stuck open causing a loss of power, hard starting, as well as other fuel pressure-related issues.
