Description
Replace the failed lift pump on your Dodge Ram 5.9 diesel with a Cummins 4988747 Genuine Mechanical Fuel Transfer Lift Pump. The mechanical fuel transfer lift pump mounts to the side of the block and is driven by the camshaft. The purpose of the lift pump is to supply low-pressure fuel from the tank to the P7100 injection pump. Common symptoms of lift pump failure include no starts or hard starts, stalling, and a rough idle.
