As the name implies, your fuel injector harness is part of your valve cover gasket which makes it more expensive to replace, but also makes it a more critical component when it comes to proper engine operation. The wire harness is internal as it's under the valve cover and is exposed to countless heat cycles, engine oil, and vibration. While there are some that try to reuse this gasket its always advisable to replace it, especially if you're opening up the valve cover for the first time on a high mileage engine.
