Had an intermittent cel for crank sensor. speedometer and tachometer would stop working and lose power momentarily. I ordered a "genuine" cummins sensor from ebay for $35 it came in a cummins box but no authenticity sticker. When I installed it my truck had an erratic idle so I put the stock one back and threw it away... finally bit the bullet and dropped the money for a 100% genuine sensor and it seems to have fixed my issue.
