The Dayco 892016 Alternator Pulley (OAP/OAD) are designed to allow the alternator to 'freewheel' when the belt speed drops. This pulley increases alternator and drive belt life while reducing stress on the drive belt and other accessories. XDP offers quality Dayco products for light-duty and heavy-duty applications. This pulley is engineered with a one-way clutch that allows the rotational inertia of the alternator to overrun during any belt deceleration event. Dayco offers replacement parts for both OAD and OAP applications to smoothly run all accessories attached to your accessory belt. Designed for long service life, this pulley reduces drive belt vibration and minimizes belt slippage during rapid acceleration or deceleration.
