Protect the cooling system in your 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke with the Diesel Site CFIK60 Coolant Filtration System from XDP.  Most diesel engines use sand in the casting process that is generally not entirely removed. Over time, a lot of this sand seeps out of the casting and damages hoses, water pump seals, and radiators.Removal of this sand can greatly increase your water pump life. Diesel engine coolant also contains additives that are designed to protect the cylinders from cavitation erosion. As these chemicals are used, they change from a liguid to an organic / solid form. As the solids erode from the cylinder linings, they become an inert particle left behind floating around actually causing more damage, clogging coolers, wearing away seals, etc. This is called sediment fallout. Sediment fallout is very abrasive.

One additional benefit of the installation of the 6.0L coolant filter is the additional protection of the Oil Cooler and the EGR Cooler. The coolant passes through the oil cooler before it heads towards the EGR cooler. Often times the oil cooler can become clogged with debris from the cooling system. Without sufficient coolant passing through the EGR cooler, the EGR cooler can fail too. When the coolers fail, you must replace them.

Dieselsite custom CNC machined a tee to tap into the heater line. They did this so there was no extra weight hanging off the heater hose than necessary. This machined piece weighs only ounces. In addition to the machined fitting a custom stainless-steel mounting bracket has been designed specifically for easy bolt in on the 6.0 Ford. All clamps are 100% stainless steel as well, even the clamp screws.

How Does It Work?

Use one filter every three months for the first nine months after installation. After the 4th filter is installed your filter should be changed once per year.

The Donaldson P554685 filter can be substituted for the Baldwin B5134 that is included with the Diesel Site kit.
