The Dorman 904-229 Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) Repair Kit is an OE-style replacement for the Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) on your Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. The Fuel Injector Control Module (FICM) on certain Ford and Navistar vehicles is prone to failure. This failure is often due to constant heat and vibration exposure. When the internal inverter board malfunctions, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) offers a complete module assembly as the only replacement. This assembly includes a housing, controller board, and power board. The module also requires re-initialization to the vehicle using proprietary programming tools.
The Dorman OE FIX repair provides an alternative solution. It directly replaces only the inverter board. This approach significantly reduces repair costs. Additionally, it eliminates the need for module programming, thus facilitating a do-it-yourself repair. The improved component is designed with an additional securing compound. This feature helps control vibrations and reduces the likelihood of recurrent failure.

Installed on my 05 6.0L, was getting 32V from FICM before install, along with difficult to almost impossible startups. Immediately after installing, stable 49V, easier cranking when cold. If you are handy with tools and know this is what you need, you can save a few hundred bucks by replacing this instead of swapping out the whole unit.
No more long cranks when cold

Purchased the 58v FICM, got here fast, installed easy and works great. My 6.0 truck was taking several long cranks to start in The mornings, the colder the morning the longer the crank. Now fires up first try no matter how cold. Woul recommended this product. Thanks XDP!
