XDP has the Cooling System Components your 2003-2007 Ford F250/350 needs to continue to perform its best. Water pumps push coolant from the radiator through the engine block to help prevent overheating. Utilizing the proper coolant and additives can prevent cavitation which leads to untimely failure in major components such as head gaskets, radiators, and water pumps. Engine coolant flows through the block transferring heat from the engine to the radiator while also providing the cooling system with rust and corrosion inhibitors for added protection. There are many components in the cooling system that help to properly regulate engine temperature. Over time many cooling system components can become corroded or start leaking and need to be replaced to prevent overheating.
Maintain your vehicle's Cooling System with the parts and accessories available at XDP. Over time thermostats can start to stick which can cause your engine to overheat, check out the replacement thermostats available at XDP and avoid potential damage to your engine. Dayco offers a broad selection of stock replacement radiator hoses, water pumps, and much more to help get your vehicle back on the road! XDP along with manufacturers like Mishimoto and PPE offer multiple coolant hose and coolant pipe upgrade options. Whether you're flushing your coolant system or just adding fluid, XDP and Mishimoto offer the coolant and additives you need.
Application Note:
During the 2004 model year Ford updated the water pump on the 6.0
Powerstroke and switched from a 90mm impeller to a 100mm impeller. This
changeover happened around 9/22/2003. Parts for the later style 2004
engines are often referred to as 2004.5 & Up in the aftermarket (to
help differentiate the early and late model parts). Other signs that you
have a later style 6.0 engine can include the ICP located on the valve
cover and a square EGR cooler (early 6.0 engines feature the ICP under
the turbo and a round EGR cooler). If you are not sure of the impeller
size the water pump can be removed to measure the impeller.
