Description
The Fox 987-24-032 2.5 Performance Series IFP HTO Shock Absorber is a bolt-on upgrade designed to enhance both on and off-road
performance in your Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. These FOX Shocks feature
position-sensitive technology, vehicle-specific
valving, and larger pistons. The 2.5-inch shock
body utilizes a type II anodized aluminum
body that
efficiently dissipates heat and prevents corrosion. An internal floating
piston (IFP) is used to separate the shock
oil from the high-pressure nitrogen, optimizing damping. As a result,
the IFP helps eliminate oil
aeration, allowing maximum performance from the factory-tuned precision
valving.
Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) technology offers usable position-sensitive
rebound-damping control on and off the pavement. HTO reduces harsh
top-outs and increases comfort by forcing shock oil through a secondary
shim stack to slow down shock shaft speed; HTO is particularly
beneficial after installing heavier, aggressive tires and applications
lifted higher than OEM specification.
