The 79029 Cylinder Head works with all of your factory valvetrain components along with your valve covers, injectors, and glow plugs. This Edelbrock LB7 Cylinder Head is heat treated to T7 so it can withstand the extremes of your performance diesel engine. The T7 specification heat treating results in a casting that is called "overaged". This "artificial aging" step is carried further than T6 which is the industry standard. This not only reduces residual stress in the casting, it also gives you a more dimensionally accurate finished product. T7 affects the tensile strength, compressive strength, and the hardness of the casting. This reduces the possibilities of cracks, dropped seats, or the head lifting in extreme applications.
