The ARP Diesel Custom Age 625+ Head Stud Kit 230-4202 is the ultimate head stud kit for high horsepower 2001-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax engines. ARP has provided an extra measure of security in the form of extra-strong head studs manufactured from the firm's proprietary Custom Age 625+ material that has a minimum rating of 260,000 psi tensile strength. They are engineered to provide the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to exceptionally high combustion pressures and horsepower levels. The studs are manufactured in ARPs Santa Paula, CA plant, with threads rolled after heat-treating to provide optimum fatigue strength. They are centerless ground to assure perfect concentricity. To overcome head gasket failures that can occur in diesel engines in these high performance applications, industry leader ARP has introduced extra heavy-duty head studs for the popular GM LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML Duramax powerplants. These ARP studs are rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength, and provide the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to higher combustion pressures.
