The XDP GM 6.6L Duramax LMM Top End Gasket Kit with Head Studs is the perfect solution to help you repair, service, or replace the cylinder heads on your LMM Duramax engine.
At the core of the kit is the MAHLE HS54580B Head Set, which provides OE-style gaskets and seals that provide a perfect fit and a long service life. For the head gaskets, XDP includes the GM 12637785 and GM 12637788 Grade C Head Gaskets (1.05mm), offering direct-replacement options for both the left and right sides of your Duramax engine.
Instead of using the factory head bolts, this kit includes a Head Stud
Kit. Head studs are a big upgrade over the Torque-To-Yield (TTY) factory
head bolts and are reusable, unlike the TTY head bolts that stretch and
need replacement after each use, these head studs provide excellent
clamping force.
Don't just install your new head studs into the dirty threaded holes in your engine block. You can prepare your block with the XDP Thread Cleaning Chasers. These tools ensure the internally threaded bolt holes in your engine block are clean of debris, contaminants, and anything else left behind. Clean threads allow for proper installation of your studs, and most importantly, proper torque sequence.
