Description
The H&S Motorsports 122008 Intercooler Pipe Upgrade replaces the failure-prone factory part in your Ford 6.7L Powerstroke. This kit allows you to replace the factory plastic/rubber intercooler hose assembly with upgraded components. The factory plastic hose adapter is replaced with a CNC-machined billet aluminum adapter (Patent Pending) that includes provisions for reinstalling the factory charge-air temperature sensor. The factory rubber intercooler hose is replaced with an upgraded 5-ply stainless reinforced silicone hose that is proven to withstand serious abuse. Aftermarket ECM tuning is not required. This Intercooler Pipe Upgrade simply bolts in place and will work with your factory tuning.
Why would you need to replace the factory intercooler hose assembly?
Turbochargers not only produce pressure, but also generate heat in the process. Once the combination of heat and pressure exceeds what the factory intercooler hose assembly can handle, it will fail catastrophically, which could potentially leave you stranded on the side of the road. Not sure what the other guy is talking about, but we've installed several of these and they work great!

Hose was way too tight. The OD of the hose was almost the same as the nozzle it connects to. I had to shave the inside of the hose off just to get it on. The thickness of the o-ring was too thin on the new aluminum HDP top connector. Going to scrap it and put the plastic factory price back on since it fits tighter. Feels loose.
