The Lisle 12180 Soot Sensor Thread Chaser (M22 x 1.5) is designed to clean threads in soot sensor holes. Soot Sensors are mounted in exhaust system bungs and are exposed to extreme heat, corrosion, carbon buildup, and rust. Over time, the M22 x 1.5 threads can become contaminated or damaged, making it difficult to install a new sensor properly. This thread chaser effectively cleans the threads without damaging exhaust systems and can be used with a or 3/8" square drive wrench or a 7/8" hex socket for ease of use.
