Description
The Longhorn Fab 201045-86-PG Ultimate Series Pro Grade Traction Bars are built to stand up to the most extreme 2003-2019 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 applications. The factory U-bolts are not strong enough to handle the high torque and power of your modified Diesel. This is why the Longhorn Fab Traction Bar Kit flips the U-bolts and gives you a massive bottom axle plate. This allows you to increase strength of the rear end and add traction bars at the same time.
Nearly every diesel has a wheel hop issue right off of the factory floor. Even under stock power levels this wheel hopping can cause extremely costly repairs, including broken driveshafts, broken axle pinion yokes, premature u-joint failure and wearing of suspension components. On top of these issues anytime the wheel hops, it is not touching the pavement. If it is not touching the pavement, you're not getting traction!

There is about a 1/2 gap for the front braket do the frame not worth the money better off getting a weld on kit

If you want traction bars that will outlast your truck and survive the coming apocalypse, look no further. The bars are so big and thick, it will make your girlfriend jealous and it will destroy your self-esteem and make you feel...small. No worries though, because now you don't have to stress about your rear end exiting into the next county. Just pop her in 4 HI and let rip tater chip. These are seriously heavy duty. Longhorn needs to have some different words in the part description. Less "ultimate" or "pro" and more words like "extreme" and "panty soakers".
Installation was super simple. I would rate this and a bout a 4-6 beer job by yourself. I was able to knock it out by myself with no issues. Just make sure you support the truck from frame and not the axle when installing the axle brackets and have a jack under the axle to support it. After install, i could tell a difference right away, took any slop i had completely out. Letting the clutch out, i could feel instant grab. These are a must if you have a manual Dodge.
Expensive but worth every penny, you will not be disappointed.
