The MBRP Armor Lite 5" Quiet Tone Muffler M2220A features a high flow 5 spiral louvered core, fits most 5 exhaust systems and is a direct replacement for all MBRP 5" performance mufflers. With over triple the sound cancelling packing it eliminates drone under load or towing conditions and delivers up to a 10% dB noise reduction compared to our regular performance muffler.

Had a 4” exhaust on my 6.7 Cummins. This made it a good bit quieter without losing any of the good sound from a Cummins. Still performs great, no loss in power. If anything, I feel like I’ve gained a little on the low end. Would highly recommend it if you’re looking to not be completely obnoxious riding around town. Helps with highway drone as well… don’t have to have my radio volume maxed out anymore.

I read the reviews and hoped they were right because I was over the sound my 5” exhaust was putting out. Well now it still sounds tough as hell and engine performance feels the same or better (prob in my head) but the obnoxious noise it toned down in all the right ways. Highly recommend!!!!

I bought this for my 08 ram 2500 and what a difference in noise levels this made! I already had a resonator installed on the truck and added this to help reduce drone and overall noise level of the truck. It drastically dropped the noise level while still giving the truck an aggressive sound, I love it and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to lower the overall volume of their truck!

Which direction should it be installed? Should the louvers be facing the flow of the exhaust?
The muffler on the single diesel exhaust systems should be installed to allow the exhaust gasses to flow smoothly over the louvers on the muffler core. If the muffler is installed so that the louvers catch the exhaust gases it will increase resonance levels inside the vehicle.
