I bought this for my 08 ram 2500 and what a difference in noise levels this made! I already had a resonator installed on the truck and added this to help reduce drone and overall noise level of the truck. It drastically dropped the noise level while still giving the truck an aggressive sound, I love it and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to lower the overall volume of their truck!

I have a 2nd gen swap on my ram and it’s extremely loud. I bought this muffler for the drone and it it took that away. As well as quieting it down. 4 stars because it showed up to my house kinda banged up

I was worried it would be too quiet and I would lose the turbo noise from my KC stage 2 whistler. Not the case at all. It def helps get the drone out of the cab and I am very pleased with that!!! If they had another that took even more noise away I would go that route. Bottom line get this, it helps so much and dont be scared to think you will sound anything like stock. This is a great product!

Which direction should it be installed? Should the louvers be facing the flow of the exhaust?

Answer
The muffler on the single diesel exhaust systems should be installed to allow the exhaust gasses to flow smoothly over the louvers on the muffler core. If the muffler is installed so that the louvers catch the exhaust gases it will increase resonance levels inside the vehicle.
