In high-mileage Powerstroke pickups, glow plug harnesses frequently fail. Many Powerstroke operators will discover that the harness has been compromised during regular maintenance, or that a hard cold start could be a symptom of harness damage. Years of high glow plug amperage demand and high engine bay temperatures can cause the plastic connectors to brittle, resulting in circuit shorts. 

The Mishimoto MMGH-F2D-04 Glow Plug Harness Kit includes valve cover gaskets with built-in glow plug harnesses, allowing you to replace all glow plug wiring. This kit includes replacement pigtail connectors for repairing the damaged engine wiring.
