The Mishimoto MMTC-RAM-TBVFF Full-Flow Transmission Thermal Bypass Valve will replace the faulty bypass valve in your 2013-2018 Ram with 6.7L Diesel engine. The transmission is responsible for transmitting all of torque from the engine to the wheels of your truck. That power creates a lot of heat, and if it isn't dissipated correctly, this heat can severely damage your transmission. The factory transmission cooler is able to keep transmission fluid temperatures in check, but only if the trans fluid can reach it.

An in-line thermal bypass valve controls fluid flow to the transmission cooler in both the 68-RFE and the Aisin AS69RC's factory cooling systems. This valve prevents transmission fluid from flowing to the cooler until the cooler achieves operating temperature. However, the thermostat inside this valve is prone to failing, and when it does, the fluid will never go to the cooler, causing the transmission to overheat. That's why Mishimoto created a full flow thermal bypass valve upgrade.
