The PPE 110100103 Cast Iron Cylinder Head are an upgraded for the worn out or leaking cylinder head in your 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax. This cast iron cylinder head has a valvetrain with chromoly-silicone alloy intake valves and 214N alloy exhaust valves that have been nitrided for longevity. The 125lb conical valve springs are held in position by lightweight CNC-machined retainers and spring seats.
This head is constructed of a specialty alloyed gray cast iron that will prevent the iron block and stock aluminum heads from scrubbing. This can result in an unbalanced clamp load, which could lead to a head gasket failure or, in performance applications, a head crack from heat. Freeze plugs, the rocker shaft, and the rocker box dowels are all preinstalled in this head. Sold Individually.
