The PPE 115022020 3" Black Hot Side Intercooler Pipe from XDP enhances the look of the underhood on your 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY/LBZ/LMM. Replace the restrictive 2.5-inch OEM intercooler hot charge pipe with the 3.0-inch PPE intercooler hot charge pipe. This intercooler hot charge pipe is designed to provide a higher cooling capacity, improved airflow, premium performance, and durability. The kit comes with premium PPE Performance silicone hoses featuring 5 plies of Nomex-reinforced fibers. PPE silicone hoses are resistant to fuel, oil, and chemicals while also being UV and Ozone resistant. These hoses are excellent for everyday driving, towing as well as heavy-duty performance needs. Includes 3/4-inch wide band 304 stainless steel clamps.

I installed it and a downpipe at the same time and haven't done a hard pull. Truck might spin up a little faster, but not night and day difference. It's considerably heavier than stock pipe, painted vs the OEM aluminum. It looks good and it is bigger than stock. I wasn't looking for more power, I am looking to lower my EGTs so I can use the power I already have in the mountains on 100+ degree days. I'm not sure if it'll make a difference for my application but I guess we'll find out this summer when I'm pulling my camper. 2006 mostly stock LBZ.

I have read reviews that shared that the tube didn't fit. I have a 2005 2500hd lly and it fit perfectly. It was a challenge to install because it's a tight fit but with some silicone spray for the hoses and some patients, it fit perfectly.
