The PPE 117000500 3" Stainless Steel Downpipe for your 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax allows you to removed your crushed oval stock downpipe and replace it with a smooth round, long lasting 304 stainless steel down pipe. Spiral wrapped with titanium woven thread for superior heat that's held in place with stainless steel clamps.

I had bought an eBay special. It did not fit, even after bending and denying it trying to make it fit leaving it unusable. I bought the PPE one like I should have done first. It slipped right in and actually fits in better than my oem downpipe. Looks real nice too. Made my cabin noise lower, but I’ve been told my turbo spool is noticeably louder. A win, sun, win.

All of the Duramax exhaust systems will come DOWNPIPE BACK and will not include a downpipe.
The PPE 117000500 3" STAINLESS STEEL DOWNPIPE will work to replace your factory, restrictive downpipe for a higher flowing one.
Can I use the stock clamps? Or do I need to buy new ones.
