Description
The PPE 128059150 Double-Deep Spin-On Filter promotes more responsive and smother shifts in your Allison 1000 or 2000 Series transmission. This spin on oil filter features a filter media that catches particles that are 15 microns, which is half the size of what a standard transmission filter can catch. This filter also offers well over double (2.72 times) the surface area for more complete filtration that also improves fluid flow to allow better oiling of internal components.

It hangs just a tiny bit lower than the stock transmission pan. The big IFS cross member in front of it sits lower. There should not be any issues with it being hit by road debris.

Ordered this and the oil filter for a 200K mile servicing. Full flush to upgrade spec to 668. Remember to clean and reinstall the filter magnet. I primed it with transynd before installation, and the filter hang depth is just a bit below the pan, looks good to me. Make sure you do a FULL turn once seal makes contact with metal. I used a workpro filter wrench to carefully make the full turn required. So far so good.
