The PPE Heavy-Duty Cast Aluminum Deep Engine Oil Pan allows complete drainage of the motor oil in your GM 3.0 Duramax LM2/LZ0. The stock drain plug port is below the pan's bottom, so around half a quart of old oil remains, contaminating your new oil with sludge and ferrous metal right away. With a flat, angled bottom and a drain plug port designed below the bottom surface of the pan to ensure a complete drain, PPE tackles that filthy problem.
This new deep pan is made of heavy-duty cast aluminum alloy and can hold two more quarts of oil. More fluid increases thermal endurance, resulting in a longer service life. To increase the effective surface area and maximize thermal performance, we added machined grooves to the pan's outside surface.
If you want to use an optional temperature sensor, a 1/8-inch NPT connection is tapped and plugged into the side. PPE also included a billet, hardened stainless steel drain plug with a high-power Neodymium magnet. This powerful plug draws ferrous particles out of your oil before they damage your internals.
