The PPE Silicone Upper & Lower Coolant Hose Kit replaces the worn or leaky factory coolant hoses in your 2001-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LB7/LLY. The factory coolant hose T fittings are molded hose or made out of plastic and are prone to cracking at junctions, causing coolant loss. Engineered for performance and durability, featuring 4-ply heat-resistant internal fibers that provide strength against high-pressures and temperatures.
PPEs Silicone Coolant Hose Kit incorporates TIG welded, polished 304 stainless steel T fittings that eliminate any chance of failures at the T junctions. Durable 5mm thick silicone is twice as thick as the factory hose to ensure long-lasting performance. Worm-drive clamps with W-style inner liners ensure a tight fit that performs better than factory. The PPE Performance Silicone Coolant Hose Kit is a direct, bolt-on upgrade that requires no cutting or modifications. Perfect factory fit with better-than-factory performance.

I installed these as part of a complete coolant system replacement. The factory hoses had become soft with age and developed multiple leaks. The factory clamps lose tension and holding strength once removed. Pros:The PPE hose kit came pre-assembled and protected in bags for shipping. Everything about this kit screams quality. The T-bolt clamps are awesome and I have no fear of them ever becoming loose. The blue color that I chose is really bright and stands out when I open the hood. Cons:The larger hoses are very difficult to get all the way seated onto the nipples; I ended up using some lube to get them all the way on. (This may actually be a pro, since there's little chance of leaking). It didn't come with a sticker for my toolbox...trivial, I know, but for the price of these, I kind of expected some toolbox art...PPE doesn't appear to make any matching heater hoses or smaller silicone hoses for the remaining rubber ones throughout the coolant system. I'd have bought that kit too if they made it.
