I was not sure if these heads would fit my 1984 6.2L GM diesel so I contacted PROMAXX directly. The gentleman I spoke with wasn't sure so he asked one of the technicians in the shop. They were 90% sure they would work. Fast forward to now. I got the heads installed and the truck is running GREAT! The only thing I had to change was the injection lines, the stock ones were to short to fit these heads. I had to order injector lines for the 1992-1993 mechanically injected 6.5L turbo diesel motor. My injectors fit as well as the 6.2L gasket set. The motor has a different sound to it, slightly higher compression I believe as well as being able to build more boost (which means more power) with the same fuel as the old heads were taking on. If you own a 6.2L diesel don't hesitate to buy these heads as a replacement to the poorly casted stock 6.2L heads.... BUY THEM!

good quality heads, replaced stock cracked heads with these, no problems so far with about 2k miles. however the packaging is cheap and one head came damaged but in a corner where it wouldnt affect anything if ground down slightly.
