The PSC SP1404 High Performance Power Steering Pump is an upgrade for your 2001-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax. This pump is brand new, not remanufactured. The heart of the 1400 pump is a larger ring and rotor which displaces more fluid per revolution. This makes it the pump of choice for trucks that operate at low engine RPM's and have extensive steering modifications.

Terrible Pump

I recently bought and installed this power steering pump to replace my shot factory pump. The pump was awesome for about 2 days. I very thoroughly bled the system of air after installation. Then on the 3rd day, I noticed that I was leaking power steering fluid again and I figured I just slightly overfilled it. Next thing I know it is spewing fluid out from under the cap anytime I turn the wheel. There is no bubbles in the oil coming out. It is normal, thick oil. So, now I am stuck leaving a puddle every time I turn the wheel and have to refill the pump about every 4 or so days. I can say with full confidence that this is the worst aftermarket part I have ever installed.

Pump worked great til it didn't. Ran brand new fluid in the system and flushed it accordingly. They only give you a 12 month warranty. Pretty sad being the pump is $220 and from a "reputable" company. Just wanted to give my follow diesel guys the heads up!
