Recon 264156BKHP Smoked Lens Amber OLED Bar-Style Cab Lights

Order Number 1709734 I was super excited to get some cab lights to install on my 2008 Chevy Duramax. That changed when I got around to the installation. The first irritating thing was the cab lights came with ZERO install instructions. Seriously Recon? I bought the Recon wiring kit (huge waste of money), as I thought it would save me time. I ended up having to cut the "quick connectors" off of the outer two lights and was only able to use it on the center light. Additionally, I had to attach wire extensions to get them to work after I drilled through the roof and drilled into an enclosed metal cavity, that left me with holes leading to a spot I couldn't reach with my hands. The lights only come with like 3-4 inches of wire to connect. I used a steel fish tape to sleeve the wires through. I spent an extra $50 on butt splices, male/female 1/4" connectors, o-ring terminal, in-line fuse holder, 4-prong relay, and extra wire. The cab light rubber o-rings that go between the screw head and the cab light during mounting were SUPER cheap and not useful whatsoever. I would love to give them a better review, but there were more negatives than positives with this product and installation. BTW, just get yourself like 20 X 2 (40 total) ft of automotive grade wire in two colors (one for power, another for ground), butt splices, etc... and save yourself some money. The cab lights do not sit very flat, relatively speaking. Make sure yall use some good silicone sealant. I'm crossing my fingers that mine don't leak. I'm super bummed and disappointed with the quality for the price tag. Recon, make a dummy-proof step by step video for the love of all that's holy....seriously. One other thing, stop being cheap and make some gosh darn light placement templates! How much easier would install be with that? Tremendously!
