Description
Get Royal Purple 01312 Ultra-Performance Grease With SynSlide for your bearings and other general uses. Ultra-Performance Grease is a high-performance, aluminum complex grease. It has outstanding EP capabilities and excellent water resistance to both emulsion and washout. Ultra-Performance Grease can be pumped at low temperatures, is stable at high temperatures and has excellent oxidation resistance to extend service life and to provide a margin of safety between lubrication intervals.

I ordered this as it was convenient since I was doing a 200K mile service on the LBZ; and came to this website to order a PPE oil & trans filter. Chassis lubrication spec from the GM Silverado owner manual states: NLGI #2, Cat. LB or GC-LB. I had the opportunity to email James at royal purple directly, and it is confirmed this grease DOES NOT meet LB/GC-LB spec. Oh well... Still installed the tube into a makita battery powered grease gun and did some zerks. I shall run this tube out on frequent lubes... then switch to something else. XDP may want to offer an alternative product with LB/GC-LB spec. Because that is what my LBZ requires.
