S&B Filters 81-1008 Silicone Body Mount Kit

The pullers in this kit were especially handy in removing the old cab bushings although neither could be used on the rear left because of the proximity of the gas tank. The hardest part by far was removing the old bushings. The new bolts on the middle row (cab floorboard) are shorter than originals and not exposed on the bottom so I could not anchor my running boards as before and will have to fabricate a mount to get them back on. Also I used all the spacers in the kit and now my cab sits a little higher which gives more room for my new 3" down pipe. I am certain these bushings are the best choice for any old Ford 7.3L OBS - order #1840313.

This kit blows the energy bushings out of the water. Its a well thought out kit with two different sized cups to help pull off the old body mounts, I didn't need to use the pullers as I had energy bushings already done. Everything is straight forward for the install, the video helps give you an idea what your up against, so plan on getting dirty and pissed esp when you get to the mount above the side saddle fuel tank, if you just have a rear tank then your good to go. I like the shims they provide, after I installed the energy bushings, the passenger fender sagged down to where the door would rub the fender upon opening and closing, with these shims I was able to shim each side of the core support to get the right amount of gap between the door and fender so no more rubbing. As far as cab and bed alignment, I had to use a couple washers on each side of the bed bolts to raise the bed up a bit to match after the mounts were torqued to spec, not a big deal, with the energy I had four washers under each side of the bed. Overall five stars I would recommend these in a heart beat.
