Description
The SCT 9817 EGT Sensor Kit from XDP allows you to monitor exhaust gas temperatures with your SCT BDX Performance Programmer. Exhaust Gas Temperatures can be one of the most important parameters that you need to monitor on your turbocharged engine. This plug-n-play sensor warns the driver of situations that are potentially damaging to the engine, and it can also be used as a guide for optimizing fuel economy. The EGT Sensor Kit features a stainless steel EGT probe and is RFI-shielded for accurate monitoring and comes complete with everything you will need including sensor, signal amplifier and the Livewire analog connector.

EGT still don’t read correctly with turner reads 32. I’ve contacted Sct and they suck on the customer service part but when the probe worked I loved it.

Overall kit quality seems nice. I’ve found the sct x4 to be a better tuner than monitor. Seems like about every 4th time I drive the truck the EGTs says it’s at 32 degrees and I have to unplug the x4 to get it to give me a real EGT rating. Works better than not having one, but I feel like I should have bought a separate monitor rather than buying this kit.

Yes, but you'd need a SCT Livewire TS or X4.
where does the cable plug into my livewire My TS plus device has no other opening other that for a mini sd. Where would the cable from the thermocouple plug in to my device
The SCT 9817 EGT SENSOR KIT utilizes a firewire connector to plug into the open firewire port on the OBD2 dongle.
Where is the best place to put the probe the dp or the manifold?
Pre-turbo would be the best location for the most accurate reading.
