Description
The Sun Coast GM-1056-3D Triple Disc Torque Converter for your 2001-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax is the perfect option for most daily driven trucks. The 1056 converter is Sun Coast's journeyman converter that incorporates an OEM style stator and custom modified impeller to allow low end torque multiplication (" gets the load moving") and high end efficiency ("puts the power to the road"). Combined with the Sun Coast triple clutch and billet cover, it is a great converter for daily driving, towing and or racing. This converter spools good with stock to medium size turbos.

great torque converter, but replace flexplate when you use it. mine broke after 150 miles.
Sun coast triple disc converter.

I was very disapointed in this converter!!!! I have 2005 lly duramax and put the G-max 5 overhaul kit in the transmission and the 1056 3d converter. I put a 100 miles on the converter and it started slipping while the t/c was engaged. I personally called suncoast myself several times. and they wanted me to send back the converter to rebuild it, less than 30 days old and I couldn't get a new converter to do even exchange. Too much money to spend on t/c and not even get a new one. I should have bought M/L converter.P.S. This has nothing to do with XDP's customer service they where great dealing whith.
