Description
The TransGo 5R1-PLUG-PS Pressure Switch Plugs will fix the slipping and solenoid performance codes in your 2003-2010 Ford Trucks With 5R110W Transmission. The 2003 to 2013 Ford vehicles with the 5R110W automatic transmission often have damaged pressure switch diaphragms and a broken dummy plug. This results in the transmission slipping slip and can cause codes related to solenoid performance.
The older valve bodies were not monitored by the computer and contained five pressure switches that were never used. The newer valve bodies had the switches removed except the switch in the direct clutch circuit that now uses a plastic dummy plug. The switches and the plastic dummy plug often fail and create hydraulic leaks in the circuit. These leaks can lead to excessively high line pressure problems that is a known issue with these units.
