Walker 245-1067 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Assembly

Replace the malfunctioning MAF Sensor in your 1996-2000 GM 6.5L Diesel with Walker 245-1067 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Assembly from XDP. The Mass Air Flow Sensor measures the volume and temperature of the air entering the engine's intake tube and reports the information to the vehicle computer. The computer uses this information to calculate/confirm the amount of air coming in, the exhaust that will be leaving, the amount of fuel needed, and other factors that help the vehicle run efficiently. The Mass Air Flow Sensor is located right after the air filter box. Typically, your vehicle's Check Engine Light will illuminate on your dash telling you there is a code in the computer. The Mass Air Flow Sensor fails due to road debris getting past your air filter and collecting on the elements on the MAF sensing elements or a blockage of the airflow path.
